Both responding helicopters infiltrated by attacker, who used grappling hook to pull himself to helicopters, slowly and deliberately punch the pilots in the face, eject them, then leap out of both helicopters and parachute back down to tarmac. Attacker was last seen standing on roof of Panau Airlines passenger jet as it was taxiing down runway. Shortly after takeoff, attacker somehow entered the plane through the outer door. Body of pilot found several hundred yards away, dead from apparent fall. Passenger jet with 126 passengers currently missing. Large box of money also stolen from airport roof. Incident Time: 6:23pm
Incident Location: Kem Singa Menerkam Military Base
Incident Description: Fuel pipeline overloaded and destroyed. Fourteen soldiers and three workers killed. Surviving worker said a man crashed a damaged helicopter near the fuel station and opened fire without warning. After killing soldiers with gunfire, as well as attaching one soldier to a gas canister with a wire and then shooting the gas canister, which flew into the air, dragging the soldier with it, attacker then entered the overload code into the fuel station. Worker wondered why a simple overload code was even added to the console system considering the incredible danger it presented. Worker added he had worked there for fourteen years and was unsure how he would now provide for his family. Worker claims attacker called him a “jerk” despite the fact that the worker volunteered at a local animal shelter, cared for his elderly mother, and gave blood every six months.

Attacker jumped from plane as it crashed and parachuted in while firing. When gunfire proved ineffective against Colonel’s substantial body armor, attacker switched to grenade launcher. Attacker escaped via parachute with feet never having touched ground. Witnesses report feeling a slight lowering of their morale as a result of the Colonel’s death. Citations issued to witnesses, warning them to increase their morale to acceptable levels.

Miraculously no windows were broken by the hook, though reports indicate a drug briefcase was taken from a ledge near top of tower. Local drug dealers stated: “That’s just where we keep our drug stuff.” Upon reaching top of tower, man jumped off and fell. Upon nearing the base of the tower, man fired grappling hook into the ground, which pulled him safely to earth despite his terminal velocity. Man then made phone call. A helicopter appeared immediately overhead, somehow dropping off yet another helicopter, which the man escaped in.

All 126 passengers dead on impact. No sign of hijacker though a disposed parachute was found nearby.

another fantastic post.

Haha, think I should get this game on a Steam sale in half a year. Hopefully I forget all the awesome stuff I’m seeing all around me by then, so I can re-experience it as being awesome when I play it.

Fucking gold.
April 8, 2010
The only thing that would make this post better? A video mash-up of the action. \m/ >.< \m/

Who IS this guy?
April 8, 2010
Shit, I hope nothing like this ever happens to me here.
IN LIBERTY CITY!
Lovin’ the blog BTW

Hilarious! It took me about halfway through the first “Just Cause 2″ entry to get the joke. Up to that point I was thinking it was real. One small nitpick, all your parachutes are retracted back into your backpack after use, there would be no “disposed parachute” for the last entry. I know, I’m a pedant.

Wonderfully entertaining post, this just made my day.
April 8, 2010
they just added an ice-cream truck of death :D I love this game also.

“That’s just where we keep our drug stuff.” Lol
Games always sound cool when you write articles bout’ them.

“Worker wondered why a simple overload code was even added to the console system considering the incredible danger it presented.”
Classic. Well done, Chris.

Ha. Very good sir.

Brilliant. Rico is such a sociopath.

So this is your way of saying you are going to start a series where you talk about your hijinks in Panau. Then we grow restless when you don’t feed our “addiction” and don’t update the story for months at a time, then you update it once and we all fall in love with you again?
Seriously though, I lol’d several times. The Money at the airport part, and the pipeline part were of note. You should totally be a comedian that only gamers understand. Maybe it’d steal some of Dane cook’s thunder. Making one Halo joke made a lot of people think he’s a “cool guy, who plays video games and everything”.
April 8, 2010
Brilliant!
my favourite bit:
“Worker claims attacker called him a “jerk” despite the fact that the worker volunteered at a local animal shelter, cared for his elderly mother, and gave blood every six months.”
April 8, 2010
Another great post. I wish I had Dx 10 so I could play on my comp =<(
@Davel23 I’m pretty sure I’ve noticed my parachute coming off and floating into the wind a few times, judging by its shadow.
April 9, 2010
Man! I don’t know if i love the game, or if I just like you talking about it.
I second the “LOLs” about the box of money on the roof, the pipeline, the jerk… The “NPC” comments are just hilarious. Which reminds me of Frohman and Nondrick. Best non-playable people, ever.
NPCs lives must be weird sometimes.
“Hey, what do you do for a living?”
“Oh well, I’m an NPC. So I just wait here doing nothing, even at night, waiting for a player to pass by.”
“What do you do then?”
“I just random questions, so he knows I’m alive. Like ‘Who ate all the donuts’ or simply ‘Hey!’”
“Umm, seems cool…”

Bad boys, bad boys
What you gonna do
Causing huge explosions when they come for you

“Worker claims attacker called him a “jerk” despite the fact that the worker volunteered at a local animal shelter, cared for his elderly mother, and gave blood every six months.”
Typical pipeline Jerk, always claiming that they’re the good guys. Rico is just a brave eco-warrior, shown by his stance on air-travel.
April 9, 2010
cool post bro
but hey, you updated living in oblivion because you did something in pcgamer and now it’s dead again, what be up with that?
April 10, 2010
LOL! “That’s just where we keep our airport money”
April 11, 2010
And all of this happened why? I just..don’t get it. I don’t see the fun of doing all this if its not for a reason. Congragulations, you wasted afew minutes.
I’m sorry, I just don’t get whats fun about this game.Going to rent it later to try it out though.
April 11, 2010
“Congragulations, you wasted afew minutes.”
You just described a pretty huge chunk of gaming in general.
April 13, 2010
Ok, yes, you have a point that video games are essentialy a waste of time, but atlest it has sense in context. You are doing it to discover things in the game.
I don’t realy know why any of what he’s writing is happening, and from what I’ve read there IS no reason for it to be happening. It just is.
April 13, 2010
Same reason kids play on swings and stuff in parks, there is no goal its just fun.
April 14, 2010
It is entirely because of you that I bought this game, and I am extremely happy about having done so.
Thank you.
April 15, 2010
There should be much more of you humorous Chrisses in this webthing.
- Or just enough to make us callous netizens rofl at least once a day.
May your shiny mind blow all over the univers.

JUST CAUSE 2 Pro-tip: Use multiple wires to tether as many things/people as possible to the blades of a wind turbine before their repeated nauesatingly marionette-like impacts make it explode. Then repeat at the next nearby wind turbine.
So far, this has beaten tethering jets in take-off to nearby buildings like a slingshot as my favorite thing to do in the game.
April 19, 2010
The two last posts about Just Cause 2 made me buy the game. Thank you! Haven’t had this much fun with a game in a long, long time.
…and…
Damn you for making me buy the game, as I will now spend to much time attaching vespas to fighter jets etc.
April 19, 2010
Absolute genius! I loved the original and tore out a lot of my hair when I found out the sequel doesn’t work on XP…
